Starity ("we," "our," or "us") is building a career intelligence platform designed to help professionals and organizations make better career and hiring decisions. This Privacy Policy explains how Starity collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you sign up for our waitlist or use our platform.
2. Information We Collect
Starity collects only the information necessary to operate the waitlist and, in future, the platform.
Waitlist Information
When you join our waitlist, we collect:
- Email address
- Role type (job seeker or recruiter)
- Timestamp of signup
Usage Information
When you visit our website, we may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device type, and page interactions. This data is used only for improving the product experience and is not linked to your identity.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you early access and launch updates related to Starity
- Understand who is interested in the platform (candidates or recruiters)
- Communicate product news and invitations
- Respond to questions or support requests
Marketing Communications
By submitting your email address to join the Starity waitlist, you agree to receive marketing communications from us, including product updates, launch announcements, feature news, and related promotional content. These messages are sent to the email address you provide at signup.
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send, or by emailing hello@starity.co. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect your place on the waitlist unless you separately request account deletion.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or unrelated third parties. We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models.
4. Data Storage and Protection
Waitlist data is stored securely in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the Starity team. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Restricted access controls - only authorized team members can access signup data
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- No public-facing exposure of your email or personal information
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain waitlist information until you request removal or until the platform is fully launched and you choose not to onboard.
You can request deletion of your data, including removal from marketing communications, at any time by emailing hello@starity.co. We will remove your information within 7 business days.
6. Third-Party Services
Our waitlist form uses Google Apps Script to store submissions in a private Google Sheet. Your email and role are sent directly to this endpoint and are not processed by any advertising or analytics platform.
In the future, the Starity platform may integrate with third-party services, including email delivery providers used to send marketing communications. This policy will be updated accordingly before any such integrations go live.
7. Children's Privacy
Starity is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. The updated version will always be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. We will notify waitlist members of material changes by email.
